About Me

My photo
here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

travelling and thoughts of home

we have been away, visiting my son down south in his new home - a farm of 16 acres, with orchards and sheep. He is living his dream with his new love... I am happy.. on the way home we took a side track to the border town of Echuca on the banks of the mighty Murray River and took a ride on the paddle-steamer EmmyLou.

and back home just today.. and as we were approaching the mountains - I feel that familiar soul stirring. thoughts of wood-fires and misty days, scones and tea. Fluttering lace curtains covering old timber windows. flowers in jugs on cloth covered tables.... ah yes, I am home.

Welcome home, I was up your way on Monday, had the urge to feel fresh mountain air on my face. Had a very delicious burger from the Kiosk while enjoying the cool breeze.

Then went shopping in Leura, bought an enamel coffee pot. I even bumped into a friend there, who had was there for holiday and was amazed I had gone "all that way" for a few hours out. She lives closer to the mountains than I do.

beautiful post Robyn. Yes
Home is that sweet place where the sun shines on both the blooming and withering. And all is right with the world.
