working out where our new chooks will live, hanging garden ornaments, setting up tables.. weeding and mulching. I plan on planting a whole row of Rhododendrons along the front path - there is lots to do here at Avalon. The irises are blooming - a beautiful pale, soft mauve. I see the small fruits of the apple and plum. I hope to be able to harvest without having to fight the birds.
the days are brilliant.. sometimes misty & soul filling, others sunny, clear, blue skies but always a breeze. sometimes I feel I must pinch myself to make sure i am really here. other times I feel as if I have died and gone to heaven. the currawongs stir my soul with their song, every single day.. flying from tree to tree - mostly ancient pines planted long ago by early settlers to the area. the sun rises over those ancient pines, giving them a golden glow. but still allowing those deep shadows within the branches.
we had a lovely break away up north to visit my daughter.. we went walking on the beach, farmers markets, organic food and a visit to the Crystal Castle for lunch and a walk around the grounds.. gorgeous, divine energy surrounded by crystals!

A rose quartz spiral! SWOON!
I am so happy for you Robyn... it sounds idyllic there in avalon... I am glad for you and Joe to have found such a great place to live! I love the descriptions you give of your garden and surrounds!
Miss R...I have come to see you and I am sitting her in tears because I feel like I'm reading the happy ending of a book of hardship and strife that the brave heroin traveled through.
I love Avalon. I didn't like Villa Maria. Funny how places, even from so far away can leave you with a deep feeling for the negative or positive...
I so wish that Michael and I could do as you and Joe have done...leave a house to find the right home. But, it seems that for now, my life lessons are to learn to bloom where I have been planted.
So I will come to visit you in Avalon and spend time in its warmth and 'happy' with you, if that's all right?
Avalon sounds perfect.
What occurs to me is that you didn't seem to have to take this house apart to make it home, like you did at Villa Maria.
It just is!
xo
it sounds just wonderful-i can feel your joy across these many many miles :)
I can tell you've found "home" at Avalon. You seem lighter and happier. I agree with the previous comment, Villa Maria never seemed quite right for you.
A rose quartz circle, my that must be a powerful place, how wonderful to be able to just take in that energy.
Life is constantly trying things on for size, isn't it. The things we don't want highlight the things we do. So happy you caught up with your family and that things are falling into place for you Robyn. That is a delightful photo with Charlie.
I think it was admirable the way you ploughed on through unsettling times. Wishing you happiness, peace, and a productive garden and chooks!! It sounds wonderful.
This looks so wonderful. I had a look at their site to That Crystal Castle looks fantastic !!
Wonderful picture with Charlie !
I'm so glad that you feel so happy. You weren't that enthousiastic when you moved to Villa Maria, so I'm certain you have found your little piece of heaven now ; )
Have a magical day.
Avalon. It seems King Arthur must have been there once. Misty, mysterious, beautiful. It suits you. xoxo
So glad you were able to see your daughter and family. The Crystal Castle looks awesome. Happy also that you found Avalon. Thinking of you often
xx
The Crystal Castle sounds like a wonderful place, that Crystal Spiral looks great. I love it so much that I am thinking of creating my own version. Perhaps just staring with a table top version, like a mini Zen garden.
