About Me

My photo
here I am in a little cottage that evokes the energies of my ancestral lands - a cottage on the moors of Cornwall, or on the cliff tops of Ireland or Scotland. It has a hearth. I am a hedge witch {of sorts}. I wear upcycled clothes, patchouli oil and Redback boots. I am a gypsy; an eccentric and a mystic [I often live with a foot in two worlds]. I serve my guests, tea from an old silver teapot. I love Vervain, yarrow, chamomile & mint. Star watcher and Moon gazer. story cloth weaver. keeper of family dreams and wishes. good friend and creator of life. herbal tea drinker and potion maker.

Day 6. Spirit Doll

the creative urge continues to flow from me.
many ideas flitter around my head.. but i cannot quite grasp what I want or need to create. ..
however, spirit dolls fall from my hands with no angst at all..
Mary called me to create this Spirit of Her..

this post is dedicated to my sister in law Tina who has been admitted to palliative care and has only a short time to live. I place her, also, under Our Lady's Mantle

Join us! ART NOVENA for Our Lady of Lourdes.

Sometimes it is hard to focus on ideas especially when loved ones are suffering, feels like you're flow has been interrupted, but your Mary doll is full of spirit and beautiful.

May your sister-in-law's voyage home be peaceful and serene.

I am thinking of you Robyn and your sister-in-law Tina. I hope your beautiful efforts of creativity recently help to calm your mind, when so much is going on around you.
I wish you peace and love dear friend, and will remember Tina in my prayers.
May you continue to find strength in Heavenly protection, and along with the shelter of Our Lady's Mantle, find strength in this verse...
"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge...For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."
-Psalm 91.
