Our Lady of the Snow Globeyears ago, we were in Sydney at Christmas time and Sophie wanted this little snow globe - inside Mary on the donkey with Joseph by her side - shake it and snow flutters all around the Holy couple... it plays Silent Night when wound up. to delight little girls heart.
Our Lady Star of the Sea prayer were not my own words - they were taken from the hymn 'Hail Queen of Heaven'

A very nice submission for today. I love the snow globe.
Mrs. Spadoman found a lighted nativity set yesterday at a second hand store for the paltry sum of $5 bucks, (US). To test it, she brought it into the house and set it up in front of the TV. The lights worked just fine, so we left it there for the time being. Objects, like your snow globe and nativity sets and statues abound, reminding us of the message of...

I read your comment on Spadoman's post and here in South Africa we also do not celebrate anything other than the big public holidays. So what a wonderful opportunity this was to be part of these celebrations on-line. I love the title of your blog. Have you been to the apple orchards in Avalon (Glastonbury)? I made an annual pilgrimage for five years and have taken some beautiful photographs of the apples lying underneath them in the orchards of the old Abbey. Do you know of the Goddess Conference that is held in Glastonbury annually? A wonderful affair. blessed be
Oh the memories that song brings back. Elementary and high school in a Catholic school. We were always singing. In church out of church. Thanks for sharing that.

It doesn't matter who wrote the words...just glad you shared them♥♥♥
Nice to know they get snow in Bethlehem too.
A child's offering is so pure. Sophie must've shaken that snow globe imagining the scene inside with childish sweetness.

There is nothing so magical to children of all ages, including mine, than a snow globe. And to have it be the Holy Family and playing music besides makes it all the more special.
Beautiful! Enjoyed the video too. Looks like it is somewhere in Italy?
dear one,
each morning we have thrown open the doors to our hearts.
we have called out glory, love, compassion.
day after day we have set out welcoming chairs in the
house of belonging.
lifting the veil of sacred existence.
beveled off the edges of difference and distance
to see more deeply the
unbearable beauty of simply being,
one.
for this and so much more i thank you,
and look forward to our forever
mornings.
This is so sweet!
magical and oh so sweet snow globe! and being your childs from a long time ago makes it all the more special!
Snow on the fells here now
