or Nimbin.. an early hippie town where people settled in the early 1970's. living the simple organic peace & love life... now it is a tourist mecca but also attracts those who enjoy pot/dope/marijuana. Joe and I were offered a 'bag' at least 6 times and some hash cookies.. I still wonder if i should have tried them. I have never smoked pot - ever. for some reason no-one believes me, but it is the truth.
Nimbin is a town full of colour..and signs.
Joe & I had lunch in the Rainbow Cafe. an eclectic place to eat. I had fresh carrot, celery and ginger juice
and to end this little picturesque journey today - I offer you : a Virgin a day
I give thanksfor Mother Mary.. who persisted, for years..
beckoning me...never giving up

What a wonderful icon of Mother Mary. Yesterday I saw one which is used in Taizé services. It's beautiful too. I love icons.

Love the signs. I'd walk around and read these signs all day if I stumbled across such a place. I love your inclusion of Mary as well, after all, I find this Virgin Business very entertaining.

I believe you because I've never smoked pot either! Just never seemed all that appealing to me. I used to say "if I'm gonna have a really 'good' time I want to remember it!"
It looks like an interesting town and one I'd enjoy visiting just for all the quirky signs.

I've reached that age in life that on really stressful days, I'm wondering why I thought it was such a good idea to stop smoking it!
Stopped back in my early 20s. And, for me, it was a really good way to relax and turn inward.

What a fun place. Love it. Back in the day I inhaled, lol. Some awesome signs there. Traveling is great,new perspectives on life...and it's nice to get back home. Love your Mary an especially good sign.
